Default Advice on finding reds

I'm still fairly new to kayak fishing and haven't had much luck finding reds. I've been able to find them early in the morning by following mullet schools but other than that I can't find them. I saw the awesome post about the right baits and lures to use but what do I need to be targeting other than the bait schools.

Thanks in advance for any help!

try fishing structure like pilings, boat houses, bridges etc -- esp with tide movement. Also weed edges and points in the tidal creek and if you find an oyster bed or rocks they are always worth hitting

Still hitting the bull reds at the mouth of weeks bay and up in the magnolia river. Also now hitting white trout at the mouth of weeks bay - 44 between my buddy and me in about an hour using drop rigs. Great fish fry tonight.

1 key thing, moving current. Whether at the mouth of weeks bay or up in the magnolia river, my best fishing for reds has been on a moderate to high outgoing tide. Also, first thing in the morning - 30 minutes before daylight to an hour or two after daylight. After that, I move to the edges of the river and look for structure or current running close to the bank. Most of the redfish I've caught in all of the places I fish has been in 1 to 5 feet of water. I've never drug one out of deeper water. With colder temps setting in, I expect that will change a little.
