Default 12-26-2009: Canoeing Report with Dad

My parents came up to visit me for Christmas and I took my dad out fishing for the afternoon on Hoffman's Bayou in a borrowed canoe. The bite wasn't red-hot but we managed to release 10-12 specks . All on artificial, none would touch the fresh dead shrimp we tried using. Even though it was an incoming tide, the water flow was doing some weird stuff with all that freshwater flowing out the bay. I'm thinking all the fish we got didn't hit from hunger but reaction strikes to the jigs bouncing around in front of them.

Only managed to take a pic of one fish before the camera battery died. All of the fish were small, 13-14ish inches.
