Default 10/10 little laggon

I put the yak in little lagoon sunday morning about 6:30. There were bait fish everywhere but not a lot of action hitting them. I did manage to catch one smaller speck about 16 inches but threw him back. I started to make my way to west pass, while peddling i threw a gulp shrimp with a jig head and let it drag on the bottom. i picked up a nice white trout and another 16-17 inch speck(i kept him). I got to the pass and i caught a lot of croakers and managed 1 legal flounder. Then i worked my way up wind a ways while still dragging the gulp and caught a lot more croakers and another speck. I drifted the troughs all day and managed to catch about 15-18 specks, 5 white trout, 3 flounder, a pile of croakers and a few other fish. I kept 8 specks, 1 white, and the 3 flounder. All in all not a bad day on the water. Most of my fish were caught in the middle of the day including the gator trout. I caught him at 1:15, he measured 24 inches.

Very nice!!! By the way, that 24incher would be a "she". FYI pretty much all trout over 20inches are breeding females.

Thanks for the report,
Alex

That might be the case in florida, but i'm fishing in alabama and the limit is 10 per person on speckled trout.
