What do you consider a "beer" price? Ebay has a good selection of quality used scopes. Look for a used Leupold.

Call Scotts Outdoors in Jay Florida, they have Leupold scopes on sale. Exactly how much do you want to spend?

If I were you I'd check out E-Bay. I bought a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x50mm, heavy duplex, matte finish, for $319.00 dollars about a year ago. The scope retails for at least $100 more than that. Search the auctions ending soonest and get you a "sniping" program. And let me just say that I used to be absolutely 100% against sniping people's auctions, but now on Ebay it is damn near impossible to win an auction "the old fashioned way." So, "sniping" has become somewhat of a necessity. Alas, I digress...get on ebay, check it out. Good luck

You might also check www.sportsmansguide.com. They usually have some pretty decent deals and offer lots of different name brands.
