Just a young buck that probably messed up it's pedicles along with not having the appropriate nutrition on the property and surrounding properties to grow. I doubt it is genetics.
Our herd has a bunch of bucks with wonky left racks and nice right racks. One of the guys killed a monster with a messed up left rack, we figure he caused this genetic bend in the herd.
So we are actively taking out any weird racked bucks. Unless a monster, balanced racks get a pass. Hope to clean up the gene pool eventually.
I've always heard that the racks are due to injury in velvet, but we have too many to be a coincidence.
