Default turkey hunt-came up empty

MY VERSION: Mitch and I headed for the woods (blackwater)friday and I was pumped for my first Turkey. I have been practicing and very confident. Scouted all FRi afternoon and found THE spot. Got up early Sat and set up. Mitch called , HE replied. Continued and HE was getting closer and closer.HE and SHEflew into nearby tree and I got posed for the kill. THey circled and came up to the edge of the woods (saw HIM) but HE spotted us too and went back to the woods. Sunday: went back to same place. Knew HE was there. Another turkey hunter drove by in a jeep, looked at us and continued down the road. We got set up and Mitch called. Heard HIM north of us. MInutes later, heard KABOOMMMM,KABOOMMMMM. WHERE: just north of us:banghead. Left very disappointed. While packing car, the Jeep returned and stopped to chat. HE was in the front seat. 9" beard and 1 inch spurs.Mr JEEPappologized but "that's hunting" or so Mitch says. Did see quite a few deer, whompus cats, armadillo, tons of birds, a snake and a rat. Wonderful weather and til next time MR TURKEY: YOU ARE MINE> :hoppingmad
