Default Stolen Tree Stand

Hello all, I'm sure this happens more often than most of us would like. I had a ladder stand stolen from me. I've had it set up since the beginning of gun season. When I went to sit in it on the very last day, it was gone. I had the top two sections locked together with a cable, I figured nobody would want to drag 12 feet of ladder out of the woods....guess I was wrong. I got a couple of pics with my trail cam.....good thing attention to detail was not on this thief's priority list.

I HATE a damn thief! I had one stolen at a hunting club I belonged to. I went completely Yosemite Sam on that one. Luckily, I calmed down before I killed somebody.

I saw where the Texas game wardens on TV put a tracking device on a "bait stand" and followed it right to the perp's house. Made me feel warm and fuzzy all over. Hope they catch your shitass thieving sombitch.

Maybe the thief will fall and break all his bones and get eaten alive by fire ants.

You are taking a chance leaving a stand on public land. I had a ladder stand stolen from Saint Regis Mgt Area back in the 80s. I left it at dark on Sunday and went back at daylight on Tuesday. Gone.
I used to work with a guy told me that back in the 80s his brother and his friends would cruise Blackwater just looking for stands.
Then there are those that will remove your stand just to prove that area is not exclusively yours.

Default Long time ago--

I climbed up to my tree stand and found a Possum with biggest mouth full of teeth I ever saw--right in my face. Needless to say, he had the stand to himself that day.

That sucks ....and if other people are hunting that area and are sending a message ,then thats messed up...they could hunt the stands to...thats just how it is....I hunt eglin and most ladder stands stay up a long time especially in walk in areas....
