Deer jerky anyone? I would eat every last piece of that deer in her presence.

I probably would have pointed out that most hunters spend a lot of money to harvest a deer, and would not waste the meat. I would also tell her that wasting an animal is a crime enforced by Game wardens (that hunters imposed on themselves).

Then I would ask her what she does for wildlife and habitat restoration - when she stammers and hesitates, tell her she should probably buy a hunting license, since that is what pays for the Fish and Wildlife Departments. Then tell her about the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and the National Wild Turkey Foundation, and how they have preserved millions of acres of wildlife habitat.

Then, for the cherry on top, I would ask her if she ever heard of the Pittman-Robertson Act. When she says no, inform her that it is an 11% tax that hunters, fishermen and other sportsmen imposed ON THEMSELVES, that raises billions of dollars each year that can ONLY be used on wildlile, fisheries and habitat preservation.

If she still thinks hunters are a bunch of wildlife-wasting slobs, I would shoot her and put her out of her misery.

I did raise all that and this is what I got back " Y'all just do it so you can keep hunting the animals" That is where I stopped.

She was wrong. Outside the work environment, I love those conversations. Nothing like the glorious look on someone's face when they realize that their ill informed opinion that they opened their mouth about is 100% wrong.

The NT does not say that we should ignore the Old Testament. In fact, you need to OT to fully understand the NT. Look at how many times Jesus himself quoted the OT. Matthew 4 :15-16 quotes Isaiah 9:2 and Jesus quotes the OT in the same chapter when tempted in the wilderness. Regardless, Acts 10 is the story of Peter and the vision from God concerning eating animals. God said...get up, kill and eat." Enough said.

People are entitled to their opinions some just aren't educated ones. You can't win against ignorance. She sounds like a parrot that likes to repeat things she hears. I don't defend the fact that I hunt... those people have no idea what I do for animal conservation. So you shouldn't worry to much about her. Dont let her take away the pride in your heart. Some people are just miserable.

The lady, totally in shock said, "Well, what did you do?"

I told her I did the only thing I could ... I shot the little sombitch ..... made "Fawndo".

She gasped, and I hit her with the "If God didn't want us to eat them, why'd he make 'em out of meat?"

Her theology is a little off, Matt. 5-17 JESUS is speaking,:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. We are given dominion over all the creatures, Gen., not only to partake, but to conserve and protect also. We as hunters and fisherman do that.
