Unless, Ya go down river to one of the island? Would'nt that still me a WMA? If you look it up on Google Maps, You can see all kinds of roads, that weave way down to some of the sandbars.. Theres one sandbar I love to camp at, and last time I was there I saw many deer tracks.

I've literally hunted there my whole life, when it was belle fountain, then nims fork, and then turkey flat (hunting clubs). I've seen some good deer taken there, but they are few and far between now days. I agree with everybody else, no way I would buy an out of state license just to hunt there. I'm in a club about 8 miles away so I already pay the crazy $300, but I didn't even pay the extra $20-$30 for the management stamp.

That helps a lot. I was seriously considering it. Now I just need to find the deer in Blackwater.

There are several places just north of us well worth hunting. It just takes a drive to get there for some of us. I live 2 miles from the Bama/FL line and have always hunted in Bama. I live on the Florida side. Didn't start hunting Blackwater until about 6 years ago. We've always hunted public land but I do have a couple of buddies that hunt in clubs in Bama. I hunt with them some. I don't know if anyone has hunted Escambia Creek WMA. It was the best for me, 15 minutes from the house, but the Indians bought that land out years ago.

Upper delta is good...but right now everything is underwater. Conecuh is alright in places. Gets hunted a lot. Army Corps land is good too. Just a drive
