Default Nice Custom Paint Job!!!

I was headed fishing yesterday afternoon and we ran across this specimen drinking fron a little wet weather pond right off the right of way of a main highway about 10 minutes south of my house. We got the boat and trailer turned around about a half a mile down the road and he was still standing there when we got back and posed for a couple of pics.

We have a full body mount of one that is similar to this one that my Grandaddy killed several years ago but he doesn't have this much white on him and he was alot smaller deer, still a spike but only weighed about 80 lbs. Looks like a pygmy deer of sorts. I sure hope this one has already got to spread his genes around, he is lucky, that he has made it this long in the area that he is in.

Yepper....those are a treat to see, I've only seen a handfull. Years ago, I had the opportunity to shoot a fork piebald but passed it up cause it was the last day of the season and I had been seeing a monster where I was hunting....Needless to say right after I decided not to shoot and it wandered off, a joining club brought some dawgs over and casted them out screwing me up!!! Oh well that's the way it goes!!! If I shot 1 like that, it would be hard not to do a full mount....:letsdrink

This got me thinking of 2 white deer I saw 2 years ago north of Munson. Is that common here? I had pictures of them but I cant find them. It was a all white doe and fawn on the edge of a cow feild I saw while driving. Istoped and gotsome great pics but there gone.

i remember a thread on here a while back having to do with albino deer. i've seen a bunch of deer in north FL,i'm sure a lot of yall have seen a lot more than me,but i'venever seean albino.

i was with a buddy in Union Springs (Bullock Co.) last year. he shot 120-somethin inch 8 pt that had piebald feet. looked all over the deer's body andonly the feet (all 4) had these markings. thought that was interesting.

p.s. thought "nice custom paint job" was pretty dang funny.

There used to be several of them North of Munson pool and Bear lake in the boundry line area. I think they liked to stay close to that closed area around the lakes!
