Default Nature is cruel!

Saw these guys floating about 50 yds from the dock one morning. Neighbor drug them in with his kayak

Dang. What a waste.

I generally don't start rattling until Pearl Harbor Day, and most hunters think I'm way early. This proves they start long before I ever thought they would. I see young bucks in the yard pushing each other as soon as their velvet is gone, but this had to be a WAR!

What a shame. Nice looking place you have there. They don't look like they had been dead for very long. Was the meat still good?
