Default LA duck hunting

Made 2 hunts during the last week. Some decent birds coming into the bag. One being this mature drake redhead that will be going on my wall. I also, included a sunset Pic I thought I would share with the folks.

What kind of ducks do you normally shoot?

Default ducks

Usually it's gadwall and teal. This year we've put some divers like ringneck, scaup, and redheads into the bag. In the salt marsh the Mallards and Pintails are scarce.

The reason I ask is I am considering going maybe next season, and want to kill Greenheads. I grew up on Merritt Island and hunted the refuge there. Killing a box car load of Pintail, Widgeon, Woodies, most Divers and just about every Puddle duck. But only a couple Green heads, so I am extremely interested in getting in on a good hunt.

Rice Fields in SW LA are good for Mallards too. AR and MS delta are hard to top for the Mallards. But with the warm weather......a lot of the ducks will move back up north until we get another freeze. Thanks.
