Sorry 4 the delay in posting.

We hunted 4 1/2 days and did not see any bucks chasing other than a few fork horns aggravating a few doe.
I spotted a pretty good sized 4 X in a small window in the wood line at 170 yards and took him assuming his left side was the same as his right but it was just a palmated beam with a brow tine. I wouldn't have taken the shot if I had known what the left side looked like.
Regardless, I was fortunate to get him and grateful for that. Maybe next year will be different.

Probably better to take him out. Might have been a one year deal. But maybe he was jacked up like that from the beginning and needs to be gone! But everyone has a different opinion on the word culling!

Congrats! I would have shot him! Great buck!

You cant cull unless you have evidence from a couple years that he is junk. I've got pics of a big buck, then he got shot next season he looked terrible, anybody I showed the picture to said " you gotta cull him that's all hes ever gonna be" then I show the previous few seasons of him, and go to back peddling. This year he looks good again.

Right Jason,

I definitely needed a deer in the freezer to carry me through the off season. Deer processing fees have gone UP !
