I may be missing something but on myfwc.com it states year round by all legal rifles, shotguns, pistols, bow, crossbow.

Only applies to private land. WMAs have different rules.

I hunt Blackwater and unfortunately we can't hunt them all year long. I can't start hunting them with a firearm (shotgun or rimfire) until small game season opens which is November 14th.

I was wondering why you did not shoot too, did not know they were safe on wma's certain times of the year(pretty stupid). I pop them when I see them on the lease no matter if it ruins a hunt or not.
