jeff its the cost of the 35 ammo and its becoming harder to find. last year we only came across one box.

I'm not arguing the use of .223 as a deer cartridge, if you can kill one with a stick and string, then you can definitely kill one with .223. But, have you considered .243, I got one for my daughter to start hunting with and love it, it is a tack driving round, easy on the shoulder and easy to find rounds, and I am amazed at the damage this little round does, just a thought, good luck.
