my experience is anything really worth shooting wont go near a feeder.I have never taken a decent bucks picture anywhere near a spin or gravity feeder.
I have taken several pics of bucks and good ones standing over corn thats tossed out on the ground,Apple corn or regular corn laced with rice bran seems to draw em in quicker.
Im working on an invisible feeder system right now ill post up pics and stuff when i get it figured out.

Jaster,
I like using the tube feeders better than the drums. You can mount them to a tree anywhere and have multiple places to hunt if you have the land. Plus you never have to worry about your battery losing charge , timer not working exc... just keep them full.

I really don't feed corn to see bucks. However, if you have does coming in good and staying on your property the bucks will be close behind once the rut starts. The only time I hunt over a feeder is when I'm planning to take a doe or the rut.

I have a few in the plots. And one in the bushes. I have seen my biggest deer over attractant on the ground. But I just want my first bow kill, so its in the feeder on my bow plot. It should all be gone this weekend. Then my little 20x20 spot in the middle of the woods should have a few green sprouts up which I hope keeps em coming through there long enough for me to stick one, since I am not allowed to "hunt over bait"
