Everybody climbs a BROWN tree wearing GREEN camo, somebody could make some coin if they came out with a straight up pine bark pattern.

I honestly climb high enough that it probably doesn't matter. 40' pull up rope... climb til it gets tight.

Yeah, I don't think it really matters that much, motion is the thing that needs camo'd more

Black or dark brown works pretty good inside a shooting house, but I usually have on a leafy headnet because deer usually stare at the shooting house when they first step out. They can see my white hair pretty easily.

Once upon a time, I shot a deer while I was sitting in a pontoon boat parked in a barn, and I wore a blue and gray jacket because it matched the boat's upholstery.

Just blend in and hold still, and wear fleece or wool because it's quiet.

I don't wear camo at all. Earth tones, brown and greens in different shades. Deer sight is best on the blue end of the light spectrum (the UV end), so stay away from those colors. Same reason the laundry detergent without UV brighteners is best, so you don't glow to their eyes. And yes, everyone has a story about a big one being killed by a hunter not having bathed in days wearing blue jeans, smoking a cigarette, drinking coffee, and having taken a leak at the base of the tree with the wind to his back. It happens, but the odds are not as good.
As long as you minimize noise, scent, and movement, the pattern you use for deer is pointless IMO.

Asat or any other netted suit to keep the Skeeter's out for archery. Rifle, I just climb till my nose bleeds. It's all about movement.
