One of our club members shot a nice Alabama 8pt Sat morning (pic 1). He was good and glassing to remember the spot in the cutover where the buck went down. That is when he begin to notice there were other bucks standing around in the cutover. The other pictures are the 5 additional racked bucks that came out after he shot.
What would you have done?
Lol, he was hunting another member's tripod overlooking a cutover bottom. That is why it looks like he is way up high.
I hunted the same cutover from another stand the morning before and saw only a 5 point.
Yea, it is weird to see the bucks still in bachelor groups this late in the year.
I had 7 young bucks and one shooter during bow season 2 years ago. Shot the 6pt and 20 mins later a monster 9pt still in felt walked within 35 yards of me. I couldn't do it and had to let him pass.
I’ve been in a similar situation a couple of times.
Each time I took home one buck.
Kinda reminds me of a quote by Bear Bryant talking to his players - “If you get in the end zone, act like you’ve been there before.”
I had a guy shoot 3 when turkeys on my place one year. He wasn't a hunter but knew better. When I asked him what the hell he was doing, he said he thought they were buzzers.

if you know they are running together, why kill the little one...I was bow hunting in pine apple,ala....when 4 bucks come out on me,and I couldnt make a move with all of them on alert....I didnt kill but the owner of the tract killed a 135 " that was in that group that I saw that day......
3 year old cut over and he did not see the other bucks until after he shot the 8pt... and the bachelors groups are typically not still together this late in the season.
In my case, 7 youngs buck in the group, shot the biggest one and while giving his time to bleed out the massive 9pt showed up not part of the group... shit happens!
