Default Disappointed

Met a man in August who answered an ad. He didn't buy any insurance, but we got to talking about hunting and he told me I could hunt on his land. He asked for my card and said we would stay in touch. I called him Monday to make sure his offer was still good. He said he told someone else they could hunt. It's his land, but it is a shame that you can't take a man's word as truth these days.

A mans word ain't worth pissing on no more when money is involved imo.....If you would have put some money in his hand ,you probably would have the rights to hunt his land....That would have involved a contract which would have superceded "HIS WORD".....

It's his land he can do what he wants with it. Good grief.

Your right but I also think a man shouldn't just talk out his ass

But you talked to him in august, it is now October. A follow up on your end might have been more effective instead of taking it to the internet....than again I guess I am old fashioned.

August was just 6 weeks ago. I called this week. He still had my business card and remembered our conversation. The proper way to handle this was to call me to ask if I was still interested before giving someone else permission to hunt.

He was hoping you had a good deal for him. He went else where and that salesman got permission instead!!!!!

Welcome in reality. Just pay a lease, buy something or hunt public land as the rest of us does.
