I’m thinking about trying some cob corn instead of shelled. Just want to try something different. I did away with my feeder this year. What do all prefer? Any place around Milton to buy? Thanks
I was getting it in bags off Atmore Hwy 5.00 a bag. Then got 2 tons in the dump trailer. The stuff is like deer crack, they love it. I saw some posted on craigslist for 35.00 for a 1 and1/2 yard loader bucket, and thats a bunch of corn.
You don’t get as many kernels but it still last longer than loose Corn. They have to stand there and work it off the cob versus just inhaling a mouth full at a time
They do love it ! It looks like a deer chewing on a cigar when they are chewing on em . It also helps you determine their well used trails as they will walk off chewing and then dropping them along the trail .
It’s good but nothing compares to a metered, timed dose of shelled from a feeder. They will eat it up but probably at night after they have hit all the feeders first
