When rifle season starts you need a quota for first couple weeks and then again for last couple of weeks

Pretty sure the WMA permit is included with the sportsmanís gold license along with all the other stamps you need like deer, archery and muzzle loader. Only thing you would need is the above mentioned quota permit that you have to have for certain parts of general gun. Those are given out through a drawing over the summer

The Sportsman Gold covers everything you need to hunt and has a freshwater fishing license. Odd that they do not over the saltwater. What they don't cover is the quota that a lot of WMA have.
  • To hunt the general blackwater WMA during archery you do NOT need a quota.
  • To hunt the still hunt gun you need a quota during these dates: November 22-25, December 15-23 or January 21 through February 6. You do not need a quota from December 24 to January 20th.
  • To hunt the late muzzleloader you do NOT need a quota. If you don't have a quota the late muzzleloader is a great time to catch the 2nd rut.

Sure about that? I thought it covered everything including saltwater. Stuff like a duck stamp is separate but thats about it as far as I understood

Ok I looked sportsman covers everything. The way to go if you like to get into everything like myself. Got my son a lifetime license when he was a few months old. I was super stoked for him. It was around $300 at the time
