Default Blackwater 1/23/2020

Finally had some luck go my way... took this week off work, and have been hunting pretty hard. I've passed a lot of legal bucks, and had opportunities on shooters that just didn't work out for some reason or another. It finally worked out at 7:57 this morning.
This buck came out of the bottom chasing 2 does, I gave em the ole "meh meeehhh" and he stopped broadside at 143 yards. I let the .308win eat and the hornady ELD-X did it's job. High shoulder shot, and he crumbled. DRT. I climbed down because I knew he was decent but wasn't exactly sure what he was. Saw he was a nice one and ended up climbing back up, since my buddy was still up. Saw a few more does and called it a morning. This isn't the biggest buck I've ever killed, but it's my best deer off Blackwater. Taking a break this afternoon and gonna be back after em tomorrow.
