I just got settled in... walked in blind up off boundery line road... it looks good. Not an acorn to be found under these oaks and a good bit of sign... we'll see what happens... "blackwater scrubbin"

Finally got in the stand. Skipped the morning hunt. But we made it to our spot deep in blackwater. Wind is darn near perfect and nobody has been in here in a while.

How come you guys dont hunt mid day? I have known people who killed deer and killed a few myself between 10 an 2. Matter of fact, the 9 pointer on my wall came through the woods at about 1:45pm following 4 or 5 does and a 6 pointer. Just curious as to why you all are passing up what could be a good time to hunt.

I agree their prime feeding time is daylight and evening, but they should still be moving mid day. Or are the deer down here that much different that they don't move mid day?
