It's funny you brought this up, I participate in triathlons and usually have to run/jog long distances during very odd hours of the day. I use an app called Road ID that allows someone/whomever I select to "track" my movements in case of an emergency... Found out today that even without "cellular" service the gps still works and transmits, worked very well today.

Very interesting. May have to give that a try. Does it drain your battery fast?

I cut it on at 5am and by 11 I only had 13% left... So yea.. It's a good and bad app, good because when your running or biking if something happens like being hit by a car and are not able to move or knocked out, it has a timer that after so many minutes of being still it starts screaming over the speaker to get someone's attention and send out emergency text to your "followers" letting them know where you are and that you are unresponsive... Bad thing is, for hunting you can extend the "stationary time" that sucks... Because if you are sitting in a tree and it's not swaying it thinks your knocked out.. But all in all its good. I also just downloaded Trimble GPS hunt which advertises that it can do the same, let your followers you sent invites to see where your at, haven't tried it yet but it would be better than having to reset the stationary alarm.
