Default Alabama Hunting season Questions?

Trying to find 2 thi hs and my quick search revealed nothing I was looking for. Anyone know before I call? Is youth weekend still the weekend before open general gun weekend? And does it start the Fri or Sat?

And since when can you not kill does during archery? Or can you and its writen else where??

It's strange and I'm still trying to figure out this Alabama stuff being my first time hunting there. But here are the bag limits:

http://www.eregulations.com/alabama/deer-hunting/

UNANTLERED DEER (except spotted fawns)
During the Unantlered Deer Gun, Special Muzzleloader, Bow and Arrow, Spear, and Special Youth (under 16) Seasons, one unantlered deer may be taken per day in addition to one antlered buck per day. See Special Exception #3 for selected areas with one deer per day limit on National Forest Service Lands.

For some reason, you have to go to a different page online to see the seasons and the bag limits. I wish they would just put it all on one page and be done with it. Especially when the title of the page is "2015-16 Season & Bag Limits: Hunting & Tapping". But the deer bag limits are on another page!

That is for National Forest Service Lands (except Wildlife Management Areas).

SPECIAL YOUTH (under 16) DEER HUNTING
Statewide, (includes all Privately Owned and Leased Lands and Open Permit Public Lands (except Wildlife Management Areas) on November 1316.

It is confusing how they have it laid out this year for some unknown reason. Check this link and read all the seasons paying attention to the "Zone" you will be hunting in. http://www.outdooralabama.com/deer-season-zone-map

I hunt in Zone B which begins 25 Oct. Archery runs 25 Oct 15 - 10 Feb 16
Youth Hunt 13-16 Nov
Black Powder 16-20 Nov
Gun 21 Nov - 30 Nov and 11 Dec 15 - 10 Feb 16
Dec 1-10 is Archery only which makes no sense but that is the way it is.

I don't even bother with the 4 day black powder, just stay with Archery until the 1st Gun Season (21-30 Nov), back to archery (1-10 Dec) and then back to gun til the end of the season. Maybe the final version (if this is not it) will have a chart like last year but I have not found one yet for 2015-2016.

Good luck

Those 10 days of archery only are due to the 10 days in Feb we get to hunt now

I know, but riddle me this. Zone A begins 15 Oct and Zone B 25 Oct, that is 10 days to the right for Zone B; Zone A closes 31 Jan and Zone B 10 Feb, same 10 days to the right for Zone B, so why the 10 day Archery only in Dec for Zone B while Zone A doesn't lose any gun days?

They gave Zone B 10 more days of "prime rut" starting last year. They start 10 days earlier, so technically they have 10 more days than we do. But we get the better of 10 days. Idk hell it needs to go till March 1. My damn deer dont get hot n heavy till well into Feb. Our Does are still carrying right now. I am sure the conservation folks have done plenty of testing to benifit the population. Bama already has a hell of alot better game plan for their Whitetail then Fl ever will. So it does not bother me

They have the same amount of gun days. Gun starts the weekend before thanksgiving for both zones. South stops dec1 for 10 days but Carries on into February. The 10 days in dec makes up for the 10 day later starting point for archery. Same amount of hunting days for both zones.
