Default Riffe Metal Tech

Any one have any experience with a Riffe metal tech series gun? Ever shot one? Do they float w/o the shaft like other Riffes?

I don't think they float without the shaft. I have also heard that they are loud. I have only had one guy dive with one off my boat, so I have only been around one.

Check out spearboard.com and spearfishingplanet.com.

I think they make a fair amount of noise, but have never tried one. I use a Wong.

Well the gun is a wee bit heavy, but shoots great! There is an audible metalic click when fired but not too bad.

I like it. I may increase its bouyancy somehow..maybe aquasealing old wet suit neoprene to it.

Hell Clay which do you think? The biggest one available..!

62" stock. 5/16" x 65" threaded shaft with large head tip. Three 9/16" x 30" bands. Effective shooting range 26'.

Unfortunately they no longer make the camo model...FUD. But the black one is fine. Going to do some more testing Sunday under the pier...

Thinking about rigging up some targets...such as milk jugs suspended with a weight if there are no fish to harpoon.
