Default Penn Baja or Avet LX

For light/med bottom fishing and light/med trolling, which one would you choose: Penn 113HN or Avet LX (single speed)?

Having used both of these great reels, I'd recommend going with the Avet LX. It works great as a 20-30lb trolling reel and works well for bottom fishing and the occasional jigging.

X2 on the Avet. The Baja is a great reel but a lot more cumbersome for what it sounds like you will be doing.

Yeah I bought a MC Raptor Avet and love it! Tiny reel with 27 lbs of drag!

Avet is a better option for the purposes you described above. Baja is a great reel too, here's the breakdown - http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=14.0

Also check out atlas reels. More drag than a avet
