Default Two AJ Kills End of August

I dove the Chevron Rig and the Avocet and killed these two AJ's. The 1st one on the Chevron rig I see a whole school of AJ's that I am going to take my pick o,f until I see the shark cruising the bottom. I decide to move up higher on the rig to clear a little distance before ringing the dinner bell. Stoned him and headed for the surface easily. The second one on the Avocet, I did not stone. I make a bad decision to try and secure myself on the wreck to deal with him, but all this does is give him an opportunity to take my shaft or bend it on the wreck. Luckily he is unable to do this, but bad move on my part.

Wow! I don't know if I got the balls to spearfish at night. I prefer to see the sharks that might join me.

To the rest, you can't really tell on the video, but when that second one made his way back to me, he was slapping my head with his tail at one point. All I could think of was the one video I saw on here somewhere where the AJ wraps the divers regulator hose and pulls it out of his mouth. He rushes to his dive buddy to buddy breath. I was solo diving, so I was happy that my brain was actually running through some scenarios on how I might cope on my own.

It's always a good idea to carry a back up mask in a thigh pouch when solo spearing for AJ. I modified my GoPro strap so it goes over my mask strap. I've had an AJ slap the crap outta my face/head and without that modification to the GoPro, my mask would've been gone.
