Default Tips for Diving/Hunting in the Dark

I often find myself under bridges, hunting sheepies in 15' to 25/30' depths. Visibility is ok for about a quarter to half of the pilings. The vis around the other pilings, in the shaded areas, can get really, really dark.
Any tips/suggestions for diving/spearing these darker areas?
These are often, I've found, where the sheepies are more plentiful.
Thanks

not sure that you can legally dive bridges in florida, so the sunshine law may not apply. Maybe someone else can join in.

You can dive bridges as long as public fishing isn't allowed from them. 3 mile on the gulf Breeze side that doesn't have the fishing bridge, garçon point, the train trestle should all be ok. As for the light issue its probably due mostly to the sediment in the water... A flashlight probably would make it worse. Unless you are truly talking about night diving where they would be necessary. Best tip for Sheeps is to take a paint scraper and knock some oysters and barnacles off the pilings and get a good shell cloud going. The sheepshead go crazy and will swim right up to you and you can pick them off with a pole spear.

I would dive according to time of day.

Wait till the sun is directly overhead, less direct shade from pilings and more overall shade from the bridge. Less places for sheep's to hide.
