Default Rigging a Kayak for Spearfishing

I'm looking at purchasing a used Ocean Kayak Malibu Two for my son and me to spearfish off. I've found a nice used one, at a good price, and wonder about using it for spearing.
Anyone ever rigged a kayak like this, to spear from?
Looking for any tips on doing so.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
Cheers and Merry Christmas

You said any thoughts. I have seen a few free divers spearing from a kayak. Can't remember seeing scuba. I'm not a kayaker but would think scuba is a lot of extra weight to get rigged and then getting in and out of a kayak. Plus all that gear must be secured as to not shift around with any kind of seas. Get a real boat for scuba is my suggestion.

Not a very big tandem. Have you tried one out? ... not my first choice for diving. For a little more, you can get a Zest Two. Gives you a little more room? JMHO

Sorry, I should have mentioned that we freedive.
Have been spearing at least twice a week for a little over a year. We spear year round, we don't take a break in the winter months. We've taken the F1 freediving course and are very comfortable in the water, even in poor viability. Only equipment would be a cooler, guns and fins. The rest we would be wearing. We would mostly use it in the sound and bay but may venture a little offshore in the gulf once we had the experience in the kayak and were very comfortable in it. No rush on that.
