Default New and desperate

Hi everyone, My name is etai and i am new here.
i recently moved to georgia from far away israel, i used to spearfishing (freediving) 3-4 times a week for a few years in the mediterranean sea but now everything changed.**
*In the end of this month i am arriving to destin for a week and would love to spear some fishes, i am sure that the atlantic is very different than the mediterranean so i thought joining someone will be a smart way not to get eaten by a shark.
I am 33 years old, have all the equipment, can freedive in depths of 8-12 meters, am mobile with a car and will come to penascola and further, will pay expenses.
Many thanks to all*( sorry if i wrote too much)
(770) 310-0526* Etai

Welcome but you do know that Destin is the Gulf of Mexico right? Not Atlantic. We have some spear fishers on here so hopefully 1 or 2 might speak up....once again welcome aboard.

Technically, the Gulf of Mexico is an ocean basin and part of the Atlantic Ocean. I agree, though, that those of us who grew up on the gulf coast see it as a separate body and the Atlantic being strictly off the east coast of Florida.

Way to totally ignore the whole point of the thread.

Welcome to the forum. Well, as long as the weather cooperates, you should do well. We love it here along the gulf coast. It's my second favorite place in the US. First being Tavernier, FL (Florida Keys). And Destin is "Spot On!" Just don't forget to get some lion fish while you're down- carefully that is!
