Default Inshore Spearing

Does anyone here Spearfish inside the pass? I know it is gonna be rough this weekend offshore and want to go spearfishing. Im just wondering if a place inside the pass like the 3mile bridge is good enough vis to shoot anything or if its legal to spearfish there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Vis is hit or miss in the bay. Your best bet is to hit every buoy with barnacles on it. If the sheepies are still around, you should find them there. 3 mile will produce sometimes. I usually check there, but buoys are better.

Thanks for the advice! Hopefully the vis will be good this weekend! is there any way to predict the vis accurately or is it just how long is has been since it last rained?

I've done the bridge and pass before...didn't care for it. The currents can get very nasty and the vis at the bridge when I went was about 3ft. Did shoot some "barely" legal snapper and a couple of flounder in the pass. On another note, Saturday looks to be around 1-3.

Vis is usually best at the peak end of high tide. Rain def plays a factor.
