Default Guns & Hoses Results / Chunky Love 1st w/ 24.5lb. Snapper

End of the day results from the Guns & Hoses Spearfishing Tournament this weekend.

Shot a 24 lb 8 oz snapper that has me in 1st place on the leaderboard as of now. Sweeeeeet! Ended up I wasn't going to get to shoot in this years tourney due to some foo-foo, which was a bummer. But at 12:30 am Friday night, I met a questionable character through other questionable characters, and convinced him that he should be in the tourney. Done deal! Chunky Love just can't be stopped. Was just him and I diving, with his fiance bubble watching. Since we put this together so late, and they needed to be back at the dock by 4 at the latest, we only got 2 dives in, instead of the usual 8-12 bounce dives a day during a tourney.

Turned out to be a great fun day on the water, and made a couple new friends on top of it! Funny guy, funny guy.

The event is being held at the Pensacola Yacht Club right next to the Oar House. Tomorrow the scales close at 4pm, and the awards ceremony will be after. Awesome prizes laid out this year! There is beer, and a fish fry, and anyone is welcome. MBT Dive and Surf Shop is putting this on. Jackie will be coming there to meet us as we pull up by boat to weigh tomorrows fish in. Would be cool to see some of you! We're gonna hit it hard tomorrow, and hopefully keep 1st place, and second in snapper too!

coolbluestreak: Thanks for sharing and congrats to the winners. This year I had a medical issue that made me decide to pass it by this year. Hopefully next year.
