Default dive report

Windows movie maker won't act right. Avid is full of bugs. Sony vegas out right hates me. And now... forum runner crashes when I try to upload pictures.

So, I went diving yesterday. It was cool!

Peace out. I'm changing my signature to software hater.

I am laughing (with you) because I have been there too...but I had to jump in on the "unstupid me". I want to hear how that goes. My Dad always said "you can't fix stupid!"

Thanks Scott. I will call you when I get time. I think my file size is too large. Acid will go through the process and then tell me file size is too large. If I try to upload to youtube or my hardrive, the process starts. In less than 5 minutes it stops and gives me the option to tell sony what I was doing at the time of failure. Also when I am editing the video skips. It seems like my computer can't handle the software and the HD at the same time. I find this hard to believe. I am running 4gig 500mb dual core processor with 64bit windows 7 with graphics card.

Salt, I am having slightly different problems but suspecting not enough memory on my video card. If you get to the bottom of your issue, please do post. Maybe I can get unstupid too!

Daydreamin- will do. I made 2 videos (my first 2) and was quite pleased with the outcome. Now, things are just a pain. I'm a stubborn sob, so I will get it figured out and make a thread for all of us to share tips and techniques. I am going to purchase a 3 tarabyte external hard drive to clear my computer. I hope that will help.

Make sure that you are pulling the files for your current project from a ESATA or usb3 external (or an internal drive).....most usb drives are not fast enough.
Make sure you have the latest updates for Vegas. VERY IMPORTANT!!!
Lastly - the newest versions of Vegas use your video card to process video.....sometimes that works great, sometimes it does not....try turning it off and see what happens....slower for sure, but may solve the problem. I was getting crashes because of some mixed media not cooperating with the video card....turned off the GPU rendering , and it worked....just slower......I need to check for an update, Vegas will surely fix that bug pretty soon.
