Default Hooked on Digging Tournament

Had a decent turn out, bit could have been bigger!! Hope to have time to promote this with them a lot more next year!

We had a blast. Fished out of Perdido. Dillian caught the first fish, small run turned out to be a nice spanish.

Next run about 30 minutes latter, JJ turn. Hooked it out back on a trolling line, got him close he ran under the bow got him un tangled from the troling motor and barely kept him off #1 bouy. He handled it well and brought it Boatside. Gaffed our first keeper king.

Nothing for another hour so headed in to try a few bottom spots. Caught a nice flounder and a few short ARS.

Headed to the pass, made a few drifts. Wife Caught a fine ARS, a few other shorts and last drop, wife hooked a good one, held the bottom like he was going back in his hole, got him out and coming up, she was giving it hell, finally got it up...... a dang big ray, chit, thought for sure we were havin Grouper samiches?? Oh well. Hit a few more shaded docks on the way in just no reds to be found. Called it a day.

Weigh in, JJ took first and only in Jr. Division. One other king was weighed in by a Lady angler.

few reds and few trout were weighed in. And a lady angler as well as mens division took the trash can slam.

Thank yall for coming out! We will for sure hit it harder next year. We are moving it back to June, bringing back the snapper division, and will hopefully be getting more participants. This year we (contractors) were worn out by all the storm repairs, then being later in the season I think everyone was worn out too! Hopefully next year will be better, but it was a fun time this year without a doubt!
