Airborne’s Amy Madden took second with a 40.2-pounder and Airborne’s junior angler, Kendall McMullen, took the Princess prize with her 39.5-pound king. Reel Emergen-Sea was third at 38.65 and Bow Down was fourth with 33.05.

There were three optional Wildcard divisions in this year’s event with boats paying a $20 buy-in to the winner-take-all pots for each species: Red snapper, wahoo and dolphin.

As mentioned, Kingscape took home the snapper prize, Wahoo went to the anglers of the Papoose who brought in two wahoo (77 and 54 pounds) and one broken prop shaft. Straycat out of Mississippi netted the best payout-per-pound ratio when their 1.62-pound chicken dolphin.

And we gave Airborne a courtesy weight on a snapper Sean McMullen caught just to see how big that beast really was.

Again, thank you to all that fished, all the sponsors and all the spectators. We had a blast again this year.

The bite was slow for me but the fun was consistent. We will be there again next time.

Joe, team Hit Man had a great time. Amy had a good fish that came unbuttoned at the boat. Michelle caught her biggest snapper and Lane proved to be a great deck hand. We all had a great time. Thanks to you and all of the sponsors that made this event possible!
