Default Some salmon fishing in Alaska

Hi,

We had a great year fishing for Reds and Pinks in Alaska. The video is a thick run of Pink Salmon at Solomon Gulch in Valdez, Ak. The picture is my wife holding a nice Red (Sockeye) Salmon that has some pretty deep claw marks from an eagle or maybe a bear.

Thx for report. Used to fly up to Kodiak while in the CG. Of course we'd fish while there. Amazed me how you could go right to the edge of town to any small stream, pick what you wanted to catch, cast and hook.

In one day you could catch all the salmon, halibut you could eat for a year. Great fishery! Not even sure there are trash fish up there?

Still haven't made it to Alaska. Definitely on my list though! Thanks for sharing.

Wow, the video of the Pinks was awesome! Never been to Alaska to fish. Thank you and Thanks to your wife for sharing that with you!

Thanks for posting! Alaska is incredible. If you've never been, you better go soon as its an incredible fishery. It will not be the same in 10-20 years. Folks are slowly gravitating up there.

Crazed,

Sorry 'bout that. I've moved back to Enterprise, Al. I fixed my profile. If you ever have questions about a few hunting or fishing points, just let me know. I know a few places for Reds, Silvers, and Kings.

Those Reds were caught in the Klutina River, right off the road.

Ahhh gotcha. My buddies and I usually made the haul out to Allison Point and we'd fly fish the shore until the tide was either too far or pushing right up against the rocks! Some spots for moose would be great maybe even black bear
