Default Slidell/ lake ponchatrain?

Anyone have any advice? My sister and brother-in-law recently moved to Slidell and we are visiting for thanksgiving, I was thinking about brining the boat and doing some fishing. Do any of you guys have any input on somewhere to launch or any areas that would be good starting points? I will only have 1 day to fish and would love to put my brother and brother in law on some fish.

I live in Slidell> Rigolets Marina is a good place to launch. Then head to the railroad bridge. You can fish under the bridge or go out in Lake Borne to the left and fish just of the shoreline. Check out http://www.northshorefishingreport.com/index.html

Check out the above link. You can launch at Riolets Marina. They have bait and anything else you want. Head out towards the railroad bridge and fish the cuts and inlets along lake borne. Also there are plenty of places along the way.

Second the Rigolets or Chef Pass. Fished the Castle and the bayous near MRGO last week and caught continuously on live shrimp. They were school trout and rat reds though.
