Default Saltwater rehab in St. Marks...

A partner of mine who had been in Denver for the last year-and-a-half called me and said he was pulling into fish camp in St Marks for a couple of weeks with his boat. I couldn't resist taking my gimpy knee down there to fish for a couple of days, since I wouldn't have to load my own boat.
We stayed inside the entire time with his bass boat and fished the river, East River, and Four Mile Creek. We sporadically caught trout everywhere we went, but we never really found the hoped-for concentration of them. We caught one keeper red and more than a half a dozen shorts. Under-sized sheepshead and flounder also came aboard...
All caught with seacrickets on jigheads, popping corks, and carolina rigs.

It was an awesome break from being on the couch since January 8th with my new knee, but I learned that I'm not quite ready for the big leagues and dealing with running my own boat quite yet.
Those two points and the fact that it is still in the forties and raining for days at a time at home will make it a whole lot easier to take it easy and recuperate for a few more weeks, before I try it again!

I'll try a couple of pics next post...

My secret sauce!
Couple shots of crown vanilla, a couple shots of bubba's Brown spice liquor, a couple shots of Coke and a couple shots of H2O.
