Followed the Inshore Advice...Mississippi Backwaters
So, I posted to see what tactics and locations I should hit up to target redfish and trout here in Coastal Mississippi. Well, we followed the advice and had a pretty good day. Didn't catch any flounder or trout, but we actually wore the redfish out. All but two were under sized, but I did end up catching and keeping one solid slot 26.6" red and a beast of a 39" bull red which I released. The bull red's bottom jaw was split wide open. I can only guess he was caught while young and someone just ripped the hook out. He gave a hell of a fight, so I released him for another day (even though in MS you're allowed to keep one over 30"). The slot red was caught on a topwater plug (saw him tailing) and the bull was caught with a half ounce red jig head, tipped with a small piece of shrimp, tied to a 20lb floro leader which was tied to the 15lb main line via double unit knot! Hope you guys enjoy the video!!!
