Default Alaskan Update!

So I'm back! It's been a while since I've posted any, but since I'm coming back to Florida in March here's my Alaskan update!

This past summer (2/3) has been a real learning experience! I've once again travelled all over Alaska with a lot more fishing under my belt! A couple of times this year I made my way down towards Talkeetna--below the Alaska range--for some wild rainbow trout! North of the Alaska range rainbow trout are all stock fish, so rarely do they get to those trophy size! I wish I had the picture of the rainbow I stuck, but I had a falling out with that fishing partner and he deleted the picture 😅. I've done a lot more salmon and grayling fishing, finally learning how to drift flies properly and swing for salmon! In my last post I had no silvers or king salmon to post, but this time I accomplished my goal and had a great time doing it! Recently with everything freezing over I've taken to ice fishing one of the most difficult lakes around, Harding Lake. Up until this point I had fished this lake for probably...24 hours with no luck. Well with some help of a local buddy, I hooked into a monstrous lake trout! I couldn't believe how it fought for a freshwater fish! When it took off it was looking to put some hurt on the ice fishing rod! But with some patience and luck I got it!

No pictures at all? That's a shame, I'd of loved to see em. Congrats on your adventures. Sounds like it was a lot of fun.

That's some very beautiful scenery in Alaska. My old boss use to go king fishing up there every July. I had some of his pictures out of Soldotna. some awesome scenery.

The cheap SOG never invited me to go & we were just a 2 man company.
