Default Millers Ferry area annual trip

Weather was beautiful which must explain the lack of hungry fish... only thing I could catch was bait, plenty of bream biting worms or a popping bug. As always i had high hopes of bringing a cooler full of delicious flathead fillets and bellies home but never had the first nibble. Tried some bass fishing, nada. Saw plenty of big glittery bass boats though, maybe I need one of those. Enjoyed trying to fish with a 4 year old, he was usually ready to go back by the time we got to wherever we were gonna fish. He still enjoyed the noodles which produced the only little blues we got. Took the new baby for a cruise, she hung pretty good. Definitely did more boat riding than fishing/catching though!

That kid will talk about that trip for a long time. My kids (23 and 27) still talk about juggin trips I just thought were a good day. Keep going, it will get better.

I was 6 years old the last time my Grandpa was able to take me fishing
Still remember several fishing trips with him as a little kid and that last trip was 55 years ago
