Default Lafayette Creek in Freeport; Gator Lakes on Hurlburt and East River in Navarre

Spent the last few days strictly freshwater fishing. Things are starting to pick up and the bass fishing should go bananas if the weather holds. Water temps on Saturday were 63F -- and rose to 68F on Sunday. On Saturday, we fished Lafayette Creek over in Freeport and caught a few bass.

On Sunday, we fished Gator Lakes on Hurlburt Field and the East River in Navarre. We had tons of blow ups by fishing frogs over the pads on Gator Lake but had a lot of trouble actually hooking anything. We finally quit and ran over to the East River in Navarre and went as far upriver as we could. We drifted back down with the current and managed a few bass, a few mudfish, and a Warmouth sunfish.

It was a good time.

Thanks for your report ! Not being " local" I have never figured out why there aren't more reports on the East River area. Haven't figured out if the fishing there is just not that good or it is good and those that fish it just don't want to talk about it !
