Default Slow Sunday

Went out to the nipple and trolled a spread of islanders and poppers w/ballyhoo, we trolled all over north and south of the nipple with flyers everywhere and seas at 2-4' and never had a single line go off all day. we ended up hitting some bottom spots on the way home and catching some almaco jack along with 1 scamp. We also hooked up to some large reef donkeys that got tossed back. Saw quite a few boats out there Sunday and was wondering how everyone else did?

heard from 4-5 boats...nothing special was going on out there. a few sporadic wahoo but that's about it...and I believe that shallower was better than deeper.

2-4? We were in closer and it was flat like a mill pond.

Same story, different boat. Fished the same water the same way with the same results.

X 2

We stopped and caught 2 scamp and some almaco but that's it. Did loose what I believe would have been a decent hooter on the flat line. It smoked a 6500Ssv that I cranked down the drag on while we pulled up the I pilot to give chase before finally clipping us off.

Also had what I assume was another hooter clip off a 12oz egg sinker 50ft under the boat on the way down lol.
