We left the ramp at 515 and headed SE to where the charts showed some good current hitting the edges. Found a fad right off the bat that had a dozen very small Mahi on it and nothing else, in fact it wasn't anchored as we went back after noon and it was gone. Pulled a mixed spread along the edge 200-400' out to the 131 hole and back in, pretty much dead water. We saw one pod of dolphins and 3 fliers. There was way more bait in 130' on the snapper spots, fliers everywhere. We ended the day with our snapper and a nice black to add to the box.
Oh well that's fishing in a 23' center console in the northern gulf. Looked like a great line with blue water about 50 miles out but we didn't go.
