Default Fishing in the Keys

OK so the boat made it a couple of weeks ago now it is time for the family to go down and enjoy a week of fishing and any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thinking about the humps and a little reef fishing but would really rather the blue water since it is so close there!!!!!! Tell me something about the fishing out of Islamaroda!!!!

If I were down there, I'd be coming out of the marina and running SE. Run out about 23 miles. Get on the drop where it goes from 1300 to 2000 in 1 1/2 miles. Set up for some daytime swordfishing and who knows what you might run into on the way. This is the best time of the year for big swords.

The dolphin fishing has been steady the last couple weeks and will only get better. Sailfishing has overall been slow this year, but the last 2 weeks there's been a decent showing... Good luck... We have one more weekend and I'm bringing her home for the summer

We are just north of you at ocean reef. Fishing Friday for sure and likely Saturday. Don't know what our plans are after that. Leaving with the boat Tuesday morning
