Me and two buddies hopped on Cheryl Sue and made the run in search of some yellowfin. Sea conditions were poor to say the least. White caps when we finally got there and 3 foot seas with mixed up 3-4 second period. Tough night. We managed probably 50 blackfin but no yellowfin big enough to keep. Salinity there was bad. Chlorophyll bad too. Clean water but not blue. The bite died at sunup so we headed to Petronius on the way home- nothing there so we headed to the hill. Caught a flying fish with my face at night on the way out at the wheel- those things stink!! First rig trip for James so we kept a few blackfin. Still a good time was had by all and looking forward to doing it again already!

sounds like ya'll had a good time.
brings back old memories. man, i haven't been on a rig trip in so long.
it's fun as hell and beats louisana charters big time.

blackfin at night and the yellow's at day break. give 'em hell.
