Default 10/26 131 Hole report

Went out with Frenchy on the Blueprint yesterday. Absolutely beautiful and the water was blue. Only problem is that we couldn't convince a fish of any kind to take interest in our spread and we gave it an honest 6 hours. No good rips or weedlines to be found. Finished the day deep dropping and caught a mess of tiles. The highlight of the day was the whales. We must have seen 20 throughout the day. Terrible day to forget my camera! We were deep dropping on Frenchy's golden tile honey hole and all of a sudden this massive whale comes up ten feet from the boat and blows a geyser of water and air. I almost sh*t my pants, then almost fell in. It was really cool, he just sat there for a minute or so and checked us out then gave a couple tail pumps and was gone. I have never seen a whale in the wild so it was by far the highlight of my day. I would estimate the one that came up to the boat around 25-30 feet. I looked online and I guess it looks most like a sperm whale but all I know for sure is that it was BIG. Anyways, had a blast. Thanks for the trip E, enjoyable as always!

Its that time of the year and one of the most amazing things I have seen on the Gulf. The smell of their breath is one of the worst smells every but worth every bit when you get that close.

That's the same area that we all fished and saw whales this past Sunday! You are right about them being pretty cool to see! Hopefully after things calm down after this front moves through, we will get a chance to see em again, and chase whites next week!

We were at the Ram 2 weeks ago and saw a huge pod of whales. I identified them as Sperm whales. There had to be 15 or so of them. We got within 60 feet of them.
