Default Looking to take the kids fishing

My seven year old has been asking to go fishing again. I want to try something other than beach fishing. Maybe HWY 90 bridges or something. Looking for advice and/or recommendations. He will usually out fish me. I want to get him different experiences. Thanks ahead of time.

I'm a huge fan of taking an 1/8th oz jig head with a sliver of cut squid. Toss it along any piling, rock or grass bed, reel back slowly & hang on. Pinfish & croakers on almost every cast.

It'll cast good with up to 8lb mono or 15lb braid on a spinner or go with a push button.

Kept my little girl busy and interested.

We usually catch white trout, croakers, pin fish. Although I have caught a few redfish with soft plastic bounced of bottom. Good luck

You will certainly need very good luck if you fish the piers at Archie Glover. I've been fishing there frequently the last couple of months and nobody I've seen has caught squat worth the time or trouble. Try somewhere else is my recommendation.
