Iíve been out of action for several weeks. I want to head out on Saturday on Destin side of the coast. Iíve seen lots of pics of sheepshead. Howís the trigger action?

Bring lots of bait and be prepared to weed through a lot of 14 1/2 inch triggers to get your keepers.

So I went out and tried for trigger. I really got into them in about 85 feet of water. But, like it says above, they were all under the limit. Did bring a nice snapper. Had to put it back. So zero fish for the cooler.

When youíre only catching the small ones, whatís your advice? Go deeper? different part of the water column?

Last trip out we didn't catch a legal trigger until we hit the Edge in 180 ft. Then we got some gooduns.

Move around on the wreck, try different depths, or move spots

I have found if I'm catching short trigger, if I don't drop as far down the size increases stop it 30' from the bottom.

Yes, my depth finder was showing the fish from 50 to 60 feet deep in 85 for the water. I dropped the line about an eight count. Maybe I shouldíve changed that tto asix.
